Conversion

124 words·1m read
I still narrate the story of how we met;
The moment that captured my essence,
My heart of stone turned to flesh.
I recount the very minute;
How I began with a little flirt,
Thinking by my words; I shall woo you,
But the words you spoke to me,
It turned me inside out,
Piercing me like a two-edged sword,
Exposing my secrets, my faults and my sin;
Yet, you made me fall under your wings,
You gave me life, I feel protected.
I relive the day, describing to my brethren,
How my heart became yours
and yours, mine, forevermore.
A heart of stone turned to flesh,
On the very day of my conversion,
Blessed am I forevermore,
Blessed am I, saved by Christ.
