Forgiveness And Compassion

Bitterness indeed is a seed,
Your heart remains a fertile soil,
Water this seed and watch it grow,
Ignore it and watch it consume you.

Rather, uproot it whole from its root,
For it is a weed to thine heart,
Its fruits lead to destruction and death.

Walk therefore in light,
In light of forgiveness and compassion,
Let them grow daily in you,
For happiness and peace of mind,
There fruits thus give,
Sweet scent and savour
They’ll bring to your life,
Let not any weed grow in you,
But let grace forever be your manure.
