Hanunist

124 words·1m read
(Someone who is ungrateful; derived from Hanun from the Hebrew Bible in 2 Samuel 10)

Earplugs on
Or just a simple turn,
Music volume high
Or just a simple shrug,
Every means possible,
Just a sign to ignore
The voices outward.

A walk away
Or a simple reply:
Don't talk about it,
Tis very easy
To shut the voices
That comes from without,
As he got up to follow his heart
To rebel against Mercy.

Little does he know;
The voices from without
Are easily shut off,
The voices from within
Rage in battle,
They're princes of deception
That lies deep within his heart,
They feed the King's pride,
But lead him to Sheol,
Where his pride indeed
Began his fall.
