Only God Can Tell

149 words·1m read
I don't know what you feel,
I have no clue what you see,
Can you hear me?
Or am I talking to the wind?

How is it over there
In the land of the dead?
Compared to here
Have you found rest?

I often imagine the expanse;
The world in general,
With my limited imagination,
Nowhere are you found.

You were here.
In blood, bone and flesh,
You were real.
Now you're just a memory.

Heaven or Hell,
Only God can tell
My surest hope- blest,
Heaven is your rest.

'Tis tough, you know,
The 'membrance of you,
Smile mixed with a sigh
A sign that I miss you.

Don't mind my balderdash,
I am only venting my pain,
The words I find hard to say,
Are penned in a poem like this.

Heaven or Hell,
Only God can tell
My surest hope- dear friend,
Heaven is our rest.
