When I was a kid;

I used to dream
of the day
where her smile will be genuine
a continuous flow of joy,
where she won't resist
the outburst of her pride.

Before she greys far,
Probably before fifty,
I want her to have peace,
As she rests in the comfort
Of the love showered on her.

Years pass by and bye,
Rolling on swiftly before my eyes,
In an attempt to fade my dream,
Often, before I sleep,
I'd visit that kid as he reminds me
Of the dreams we had.

Now my dream has matured,
I only pray and ask for these things;
That Lord in His mercy,
Would preserve my mommy
according to His will,
So when the time is ripe for me
To achieve my dream,
Time won't grasp her swiftly.
