To Mankind

Many are my titles
Some say I am wrong, fair and rational,
Many are the forms I take
I am the pleasure you stake
I give comfort to the feeble in heart,
My sympathy is thorny, and my gift is death.
I have stained every man
And kissed their lips in many ways
I devise their plan and execute my will
They think they can resist me by their zeal
But I govern their heart,
I bind them in shackles of lust
And throw them in the pit of immorality
They enjoy my pain, and that makes me strong
Anger, Pride, Lust, Lies, Greed, Laziness and Envy
Are the leaders of my kingdom,
I happily let them lead humankind,
I waste their souls and prepare them for Hell
Many call me fun; some say I am a norm,
Call me whatever you like,
But I am that voice inside your head
That tells you to go ahead,
Jump into the pit and go in deep
It's dark, unholy, but it's fine
A little more and you will feel good,
Yea, I am here to consume you
I was birthed with you and I'm not willing to let go
My wage is death, and that's fine too
Kiss me harder and never let go
Fall into my bed and dance to my tune
My darkness is blinding
My reward is enmity with the Almighty,
I delight in His wrath poured on you.
I am the voice that says;
Don't worry about that old rugged conscience
He is only trying to make you lose your fun
I am that sweet voice that screams it is okay,
One more time, it won't do any harm,
I am the voice that says; burn the house
Destroy your brother's life
Let pride rule you into destruction
Isn't that why I am your master?
My goal is to see you perish,
And that makes me happy?
You serve me and do my biddings.
To see you drink the wine of the wrath
Made by He who is forever is,
That is my delight.
So you see;
My plans for you are to destroy you
To bring you to condemnation
To make guilt your jury
To sell you into slavery
While I lord myself over you
And hoping not to set you free
Yours faithfully,
Sin.
