(Moderate to deep red) Some desire to do away with sin, So they can point a finger, Boast of their righteousness, And condemn everyone else to hell, They forgot; pride is a sin. Some bury their sin, So they can be regarded by others; Innocent and holy, While they hide in their closet their darkest desires, Visiting them once in a while, They forgot; deception is a sin. Some desire to sin no more, Not because they understand repentance Or the wrath that is to come, Or believe in the Son, For the fear of guilt consumes them, The voices in their heads, they needed to clear, They forgot; faithlessness is a sin. Some desire to sin no more, Not knowing the truth of the sacrifice, They devise their plan, To cover major sin with minor ones, A little white lie, here and there Just to appear perfect, They forgot; sin is a sin. ∞ ∞ ∞
