Guilty As Charged

125 words·1m read
It’s you Oh mortal— you’re to be blamed,
It’s you who decide;
Heaven or hell; your choice to make.
Your actions are vague- truly
You know what’s good and evil
Yet you choose the latter.
You feign in strength, yet you’re feeble.
You wage war, yet you blame the devil,
Devil- Oh! poor fellow,
A heap of allegations on him.
Master of evil, no doubt he is,
But he’s not responsible for your decision.
You Oh man, you devise instrument of destruction,
Massive enough to wipe out a town.
If it pleases the creator to rise in anger,
Who among you can plea not-guilty?
Yet grace in love He gives
Till all repent and turn from evil
Instead of blaming the devil.
