Once upon the past; Before the creation of time, When Man was null, And gods were all. An incident occurred, One sign of an emergency. Then arose the elders, A meeting with the judge named Creator. He announced; Let’s make man in our image, Give them the gift of life, Let them rule as kings. A world was created, And man was formed from it, To dominate the earth, As kings and queens. All seems fine at first, Until an evil fell upon the earth, Right into the heart of man, A disaster at hand. Oh! Man hath fallen, An alarm to the Creator’s ear, Soon a call of exigency, A need for a remedy to the catastrophe. At first creation, Man’s existence was immortal, An endless being, Whose offspring will be kings. A second proposal was made, Creation of a fearsome entity, One mighty devourer, That can limit the limitless. Thus the creation of time, Quickly and as fast as creation could be, At first, young time Was slow and steady. Soon it’s grown, And becomes unstoppable, A nightmare to all kings, One who’s brought limitation to life. A limiting factor, Who humbles the proud, Showing beginning and ending, One who brings mortality To the once immortal man… ∞ ∞ ∞
