Tragedy

When we suffer a great loss
And trouble dines with us,
When our days turn dark
Before our grave arrives,
When loved ones die
And close ones leave us behind,
When heartbreak becomes a norm
And relationships never seem to work.
Teary eyes that won’t stay dry
And in sorrow, we often ask why!?

Terrible days when disaster hits
And nature doesn't care,
Fire burns and clouds burst open,
Storm rages and thunderclaps chant with a roar
We walk through thick and thin
And nothing ever seems complete.
Painful days before our very eyes
When mothers in labour die
And infants perish after a while.
Choking times when brothers choose to fight
And death is the final resort.
Days we’ve seen when oppression is common
And justice isn’t a thing.
Pain to the marrow are the days
When lives lived are full of lies
Cos one chooses to decide it's right.
Killing without guilt and that’s fine.
It's the days of tragedy past, terrible present and disastrous future.

Greater tragedy;
Awaits the fools
Who has said in their hearts
There’s no God!
Gnashing for dinner and weeping forever
Is their portion after all they’ve been through.
If anyone ever denies the Lord whose name is Christ,
The wrath of God is their portion.
Those who refuse His Word,
A pit without a bottom is the beginning of their distress.
It would have been better for them never to be born
For greater tragedy awaits all the enemies of God.
