Crepuscular

(Resembling twilight; dim light)

Yesterday was a day like no other,
It came with plans and a long list
of desires and wishes before it began.

A single turn of the event makes us sour;
It all started with weakness and pain,
It hits us suddenly without warning;
Like a volcano that wakes after aeons.

Soon, turning our bright days into ashes of grey,
We ran inside to avoid the grip of death,
We are advanced, yet, we were not ready,
We are smart, yet, we've lost many.

The beast yesterday breeds
Lurks in every street
Sealing us in.

Still, we have hope,
We have hope, that the sun will rise;
Shining bright and piercing our fears.
We have missed the touch of love,
The very hug that shows we care.
But we are not giving up.
No, not yet.

As the day ends yesterday,
Our hope grew wings,
Ready to soar into a new day,
We took a leap of faith
As we crossed over the eclipse of yesterday,
Looking forward to better days ahead,
We'll remain Hopeful;
Even to the very end.
