Two men set out on a journey;
One is called Faith and the other Vanity,
They met at the junction called Choice,
On the right stands Faith,
To the left stands Vanity.
For every passer-by,
There is always a choice.

Faith would say;
You need not see what lies ahead, only believe,
Vanity would respond;
Why believe in what you can't see?
Faith would say;
Seek first the kingdom of God,
Vanity would respond;
Your desires are more important,
Faith would say;
Reflect on the vanities of life-
See how fleeting everything is,
Vanity would respond;
Reflect on your accomplishments-
Imagine how much more you can achieve,
Faith would say;
Contentment and gratitude is satisfying,
Vanity would respond;
The more you get, the greater you are,
Faith would say;
Look to the cross-
Give to Him your all,
Vanity would respond;
Look to the cross
From Him, ask for more.
On and on Faith and Vanity would go,
At the junction of Choice,
Faith or Vanity, you will always have to choose.
