History Untold

137 words·1m read
Sad, sad story,
Happened ages ago, so it is;
A story, wished forgotten, thus, unwritten,
Remains in the heart, yet hidden.
A story of a dead-born prince,
Who took away the kingdom’s peace.

A sad long history,
Of a supposed king to be,
Who barely had the chance to breathe,
His eyes shut and ready for the coffin.

A sad story,
Archived, yet, fresh in the memory,
Has always been a part of me,
And I wonder how I never spoke of him.

He’s back every night to haunt me,
Never wishing me a good night sleep,
Until I sing a song of sweet,
Or I mourn a tune of hymns
To put to rest the prince,
Saying farewell, until we meet
At last for real,
Farewell, my prince and rest always in peace.
