I cry for my people

I cry for the nation,
I cry for the earthlings,
I cry and ask the Lord; why?

How long till your Kingdom come?
How long till your creation perish in rebellion?
The sons of man think they're wise,
They live all their days away from the Light,
The shadows of Hell has become a life unto them.

Oh Lord, how long shall my tears flood the aisle,
How long shall we drink gall like wine,
and pretend it's all fine?
How long, shall the oppressed remain depressed
as the enemy grows in prosperity?
How long till your Kingdom come?

Years fly and time goes by,
Hi and bye, the ocean is getting dry,
The sky ceases to wet the land,
When her fount opens, she floods in anger,
Drought and recession is the new flourish,
Every Planck length feels no differ,
But over the years, the return makes me shiver.

Hear my cry O Lord,
How long O Christ?
How Long thou Most High?
How long till your Kingdom come?
---------

Not long O mortal,
Not long thou son of man,
Thou whose tears filled the aisle,
Thou whose travail lush the streets,
Not long till all these cease to be,
Not long till I come to set the captive free.

A thousand years is but a day before me,
A day but a thousand if I chose it to be,
Who can say, how dare you, Lord?
Or question my call.
Holdfast to my Word, the Anchor,
Rest in my Sabbath and wipe your tears,
Publish my peace among the earthlings
Remind them of my wrath before it's late,
Sing the tune of the gospel truth at their gate,
Be the Light you are called to be,
Live and fix your eye upon me.

My Word is true,
O taste and see it is good,
Wait patiently like the morning dew
that awaits the sun's liberation.
Wait till my elects are ransomed,
Watch, O mortal, Pray, O son of man,
Work till my Kingdom come.
